It is planned that the visit will take place at the end of March 2017.
Within the business program the Japanese delegation intends to get acquainted with the economic and investment potential of Krasnodar region. In particular, it is anticipated to visit agricultural enterprises, maritime port of Novorossiysk and meet with the region’s company managers.
In return, the Japanese party will present the potential of the prefecture Yamaguti and will also present the activities of the Japanese business club in Russia.
The visit of the foreign business communities is a continuation of the negotiations held within the framework of the Russian investment forum in February 2017 in Sochi. It should be reminded that in course of the forum the delegation of Japan headed by Seuiti Hayashi, Deputy General Director of the Department of tourism, sport and culture of the government of Yamaguti province, conducted a set of meetings with the heads of the ministries and agencies of Krasnodar region.
Due to the remoteness of the areas, the foreign turnover of Japan and Krasnodar region is unsubstantial. At this, over the last five years it increased almost by twice, making 28.83 million dollars US in 2o16.
During recent years, the export share has dramatically increased. In the year 2016, this indicator made 17.89 million dollars US. Today several companies which production is deployed on the territory of Krasnodar region are supplying their products to Japan. Among them, inter alia, are the producers of food products and alcoholic beverages.
The prevailing form of cooperation between Japan and Krasnodar region is humanitarian and cultural ties. Thus, the Kubansk Cossack Chorus performed in Japan with concert programs. Krasnodar regional art museum named after F.A.Kovalenko presented a travelling exhibition "Collection of Japanese woodcuts of XVIII, XIX and early XX centuries". The ballet theatre of Grigorovich twice visited the Japanese cities with their performances.
